as KOB-TV (NBC), KOAT-TV (ABC), and KRQE-TV (CBS) as well as on our local
Public Broadcasting System (PBS) network, KNME-TV.

These 60-minute programs detail the challenges surrounding
water availability in the Southwest and New Mexico. They focus on
the impact of growth and development in Southwest cities, Native
American water rights, Albuquerque's efforts to achieve a sustainable
water supply for the future, the overarching obligations of the
Rio Grande Compact affecting all water use in New Mexico, threats
to traditional farming and ranching communities arising from water
shortages, and the failing health of the Rio Grande and its ecosystem.
DWI: A New Mexico Family Tragedy
This 30-minute program tells the story of two New Mexico families
whose lives were changed forever on Christmas Eve when a head-on
collision ended the lives of a mother and her three little girls.
Foster a Future
Hosted by actor Edward James Olmos, this 30-minute program introduces
four extraordinary New Mexico adoptive and/or foster families and
their children. It explores the process of adoption and foster care
and the highs and lows of the children who desperately want "Moms
and Dads" of their own.
Milestones
Introduced by television talk show host Phil Donahue, this 30-minute
program examines the emotional challenges of the aging process and
how it relates to older Americans in long term care. Issues such
as anger, fear, denial, depression and finally acceptance are explored
in a straightforward manner.
Quenching Our Thirst
Hosted by internationally-acclaimed author Rudolfo Anaya, this
30-minute program assesses Albuquerque's water conservation progress
and presents a complete conversion of a typical high-water-use yard
into a xeriscape in a format similar to "This Old House.
The Bag Lady Sings
This 30-minute program focuses on the importance of collaborative
community response to the needs of the mentally ill. It chronicles
the wanderings of an Atlanta, Georgia "bag lady" who
finally found hope in a community mental health program in Roswell,
New Mexico.
Pathways
Hosted by Karen Grassle, who was Caroline on the classic "Little
House on the Prairie" television series, this 30-minute program
is an honest, straightforward look at the challenges facing long
term care facility staff in today's environment.
Jornada del Muerto
This 60-minute program, translated as "The Journey of Death,"
explores how The Camino Real, the main artery of colonization of
New Mexico and our cultural link to New Spain, has evolved over
400 years to become an avenue of death -- a conduit for a virtually
unobstructed flow of drugs into our state. Winner of numerous awards,
this provocative program is credited with launching a major federal
anti-drug initiative in Northern New Mexico.
Mending the Circle
This 30-minute program deals with domestic violence among the
Jicarilla Apache. It presents the perspective of both Native American
men and women grappling with an issue that has grown dramatically
is many tribes.
Unseen Spirits
Hosted by award-winning journalist Conroy Chino, this 30-minute
program discusses the effects of deteriorating air quality on the
Albuquerque area's nine pueblos. The program looks at the impact
of urban sprawl, as well as the tribes' own contributions to the
problem and the solutions they are undertaking.
