Renewing Our Roads – City of Albuquerque Construction Coordination Division

Following completion of the Big I project, the City of Albuquerque engaged Cooney, Watson & Associates, inc. to conduct communication activities related to extensive road resurfacing that had been postponed due to the massive construction activity the Big I Reconstruction Project entailed.  The two-year initiative conducted for the City’s Construction Coordination Division was entitled “Renewing Our Roads” and included:

• Contractor interface
• Engagement of neighborhood associations
• Weekly traffic maps in the Albuquerque Journal
• Press events held in conjunction with startup or completion of major individual projects
• Liaison with TV and radio news departments
• Email blasts to all key media
• Development of press releases and related materials
• Feature stories
• Placement of City personnel on radio and television interview shows
